Many trainers and doctors agree that doing traditional sit-ups and crunches on the floor is not the best way to work the core or maximize your time and effort.

When done regularly, standing abdominals can even help alleviate strain on the back and neck. To perform standing abdominals on the 3G Cardio® AVT™ Vibration Machine, stand in the center of the machine’s platform and position your feet shoulder width apart and hold the railing at chest height.

While maintaining a straight back, slightly bend your legs and push your upper torso down. Right away you should begin to feel tension in your abdominal muscles. Try bending your arms further to vary the exercise.
