3G Cardio AVT Exercise Tips: Triceps Dips

Triceps dips performed on the 3G Cardio® AVT™ 3.0, 5.0 or 6.0 Vibration Machines help build strong, defined triceps by effectively isolating the muscles used in your arms.

Here are some tips on how to do triceps dips on the award-winning 3G Cardio machines:

  • Face away from the vibration plate, then firmly grip the edge and push upwards.
  • Next, bend your arms slightly and lower your hips toward the plate, squeezing your shoulder blades together. You will begin to feel tension in your upper arms and shoulders. For variation, repeat the exercise with your legs straight.
  • By varying your hand position in and out, you can exercise the triceps in different ways.

For an exercise that covers a relatively small range of motion, triceps dips are extremely effective at increasing size, strength and definition in your arms. While dips primarily work your triceps, they also engage the biceps, forearms, shoulders, chest and lower back to different extents.

One of the great things about dips is that these muscle groups are engaged throughout the entire exercise because they’re all needed to stabilize and balance yourself.

And with whole body vibration training, the effects of this compound exercise are even greater than traditional workouts on a dip bar.
